, or Mag Bay, is one of the most elusive fishing spots in Baja California Sur. A 50 kilometers long bay that is home to the immigrant gray whale during the winter season, guarded by the sandy barriers of Magdalena and Margarita islands.
Our Mag Bay Experience is a one of a kind trip that will take you closer to the bay than any outfitter in the Baja has before. We have secured a cozy house in the island, where you will have all the amenities available: Fully equipped bedrooms, showers and bathrooms and a kitchen where your meals will be prepared and served.
In accordance to the current flight schedules, you can arrive either La Paz or Los Cabos airport on Monday. From there, our shuttle services will drive you to the bay, where you will fish from Tuesday through Friday. Every night, local seafood and your catch will be cooked in a very fun and relaxed environment, just to get you ready for the next day of fishing. As with our other fishing trips, your catch will be cleaned, fileted and vacuumed for your travelling convenience.
The winter season of The Mag Bay Experience is one challenge every fisherman should endure at least once in their lifetime. The majestic offshore waters and banks in the bay provide some of the most spectacular big-game fishing on the planet, such as black, blue and striped marlin, wahoo, rooster fish and tuna. The summer season allows us to explore the mangrove estuaries nearby, which are home to World-class tackle and fly fishing species.
Mag Bay was traditionally accessible only by private yacht or costly 8-plus day long boat trips, but our exclusive live-in adventures in the island allow us to offer this one of a kind experience at a much affordable cost.
